We have been using cloth wipes since we started cloth diapering 7 months ago. It just made sense to me! I came across a work-at-home mom business on Etsy: Family Cloth Wipes. Claudia makes cloth wipes out of soft flannel in both solid colors and fun patterns. I received an adorable pack that contained 2 solid colors and a pattern: white, brown, and ladybugs. Aren’t they adorable??
These wipes are made perfectly. They are just the right size (6×8) and have two layers. Because they have two layers, you can rest assure that no poop will be getting through that wipes and onto your hands! They absorb water or a solution very well but ring out easily so you don’t have an excess amount of liquid to smear on baby’s bum. I found these wipes to be very useful for not only changing B’s diaper, but also to wipe off her face after dinner or to help wipe up small messes around the house. I’ve also found these to be perfect in the diaper bag! For the crunchy family that uses “family cloth,” these wipes would be great!
These cloth wipes are serged around the edges so I haven’t had any issues with fraying or coming apart. Caring for them is super easy! I simply put them in my wet bag after use and wash them with my cloth diapers. I use my usual washing routine and then dry them in the dryer with some wool dryer balls until they’re completely dry. I then fold them and put them with the rest of my clean wipes.
Along with making cloth wipes, Family Cloth Wipes also carries wet bags, diaper pail liners, and cloth diaper liners and soakers. If you get on her Etsy page and you don’t find exactly what you’re looking for, Claudia is open to custom orders! She also has a great sale going on: packs of 100 cloth wipes for $89.10! 🙂
